Can You Take a Dog or Cat Into a Bangkok Mall? We Opened 13 Mall Websites
Last verified
- The official websites of 13 department stores and shopping centers in Bangkok opened on August 29, 2026. None of them wrote the conditions for bringing pets on their websites.
- Two locations claim to be pet-friendly and have pet yards. But there is no written rule that says you have to carry them, put them in a bag, or put them in a stroller, namely Central Eastville and K Village.
- Another 4 places couldn't open their websites on the day of the inspection, so they weren't included. It's not that they didn't have information.
- It means that people can't find the answer all the time. It's not because no one compiled it. But because the department store didn't announce it from the beginning.
- Before going, call the store directly and ask. Then ask directly: Can you carry me in? Can I carry a bag? Can I use a stroller? And which zones can't I enter?
The short answer is that no one has announced it.
We opened the official websites of 13 malls and shopping centers in Bangkok and looked for messages that stated conditions for bringing pets. Whether it's carrying them, putting them in a bag, putting them in a stroller, the size or number of animals that can be accepted. or zones that cannot be entered
Nowhere is it written anywhere.
This question was asked repeatedly on Pantip from around 2015 until 2024, and every thread ended with the same answer: go ask the department store yourself. In the past, we understood that no one had collected it yet, but in fact the origin was not announced. No one can collect it.

Two places that say welcome But it didn't say what to do.
Central Eastville is the most obvious case in point. The branch page on Central Pattana's own website says it's Pet Friendly. There's a Pet Park for you to take your little one for a walk and a Pet Lovers zone, but there's no line that says they have to carry them, put them in a bag, or put them in a stroller. Not saying how many And it doesn't say which zones you can't enter.
K Village talks about the dog yard on the web But there are no rules either.
This is the gap that makes people argue in the thread. The store says welcome. But people who are about to drive home with a dog still don't know if they need to prepare a stroller.
Why don't the lists of pet friendly department stores I found on the internet match?
Because those lists are written from the experiences of people who have been there. It was not written from the department store rules. When the origin is not announced Everyone must tell from what they have encountered. This depends on the day, branch, and employees encountered at the work site.
Posts where people come across signs prohibiting pets but still see people walking with dogs in the mall. It is explained with the same story. What is actually enforced and what has been announced are different matters. and when there is nothing announced There's nothing to hold on to.
What this count still cannot tell
This count indicates that the department store had not posted the terms on its website on the day we viewed it. That doesn't mean the department store doesn't have rules. Almost every department store has rules. But are the rules on the sign on the door or with the staff? It's not in a place that people who search before leaving home will find it.
We did not check the mall's Facebook page. Because most of the content must be logged in to be read in its entirety. And some websites create content with scripts. As a result, the pages that we can read may not be all complete. If there is a department store that has announced it and we missed it. You can tell us and we will fix it and post a new inspection date.
Another 4 locations, The Commons, Gateway Ekamai, The Market Bangkok, and The M District Group's website, were unable to open on the day of the inspection. Therefore, both methods are not counted.
What should I call and ask before going?
Ask directly in questions because the word "can you take me in" often gives an answer that is too general.
Can you carry me in? Can the bag be closed? Can you put it in the cart? Do you have strollers to borrow or do you have to bring your own? Do I need to use an ID card to register? Which zones can't be entered? Especially supermarkets and food courts. And are restaurants able to sit only in the outdoor zone?
Write down the name of the person who responded and the date. Because the answer can change according to the branch.
Frequently asked questions
In summary, which malls allow dogs?
We can't repay the department store. And I won't guess. From the opening of 13 official websites on August 29, 2026, no department store has announced the conditions on its own website. There are two places that say they accept pets, Central Eastville and K Village, but neither of those places says they must be carried, put in a bag, or put in a stroller. The way to get the real answer is to call and ask the branch you're going to.
You can see people walking their dogs in the mall. Does that mean the department store has given permission?
No. What is enforced at the work site and what is announced by the department store are different matters. There are threads where people come across a sign prohibiting pets but still see people walking dogs in the same mall. If you go by relying on what you see others do. There is a chance of being invited out.
Why don't you take a look at the department store's Facebook page?
Because most of the content on the page requires you to log in in order to read it in its entirety. And old posts may be deleted or changed without a trace. We therefore rely on the official website of the mall, which is a repeatable source and has a permanent address. If any department store moves the announcement to be on the page only We'll count it as unannounced where people can find it.
When was this information updated?
Reviewed August 29, 2026 Every row in the table contains the actual web links we viewed in the Resources section below. If any department stores add more announcements after today The above information will not be included until we have another round of inspections.
